Considering a career in Hairdressing or Barbering? Northampton’s Multi-award winning Salon Group, Christian Wiles Hairdressing have launched a FREE 6 WEEK TASTER COURSE SCHEME at our Wiles Academy. These sessions have been introduced for students and school leavers considering a career in hairdressing or barbering.

This is the ultimate opportunity to experience hairdressing and barbering before committing to an apprenticeship. The Christian Wiles Group are renowned for our hairdressing education and travel the country influencing and inspiring our peers: we perform stage shows at key hairdressing events, write features for national press and work tirelessly in the pursuit of hairdressing excellence.

We are passionate that a career in hair offers incredibly opportunities for those who are passionate and committed. This course is the first of its kind in the UK and adopts a ‘no-strings’ approach! Within the 6 week course, the students will simply be expected to attend the session every Tuesday evening and participate with energy and enthusiasm. No costs are incurred to the student and neither the student nor the Salon Group have any obligation to work together after the course is completed.

What is The Wiles Academy Taster Course?

This course has been built to offer you the opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of what is involved within the hairdressing industry before embarking on a career in Hairdressing or Barbering. The Wiles Academy taster sessions gives you the chance to work with our award-winning team who will educate you in a concrete introduction to the Hairdressing & Barbering industry. This six-week course is an ideal opportunity for you to develop your skills and decide if a career in hair is for you.

What can I expect to learn?

The Wiles Academy taster sessions will cover the following six areas, corresponding to the different aspects of Hairdressing and Barbering:

T&C’s

You will need to be able to commit to the FULL six weeks before you apply for the course.
The course runs from 6pm every week from the date advertised until the course end date.
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the session starts.
The candidate may be asked to bring a live model to work on during the session however you will be given plenty of notice if this is required.
Spaces are limited so if you don’t get selected the first time do not be disappointed as courses are running throughout the year.
